What is Single-Sign-On? What is Single-Sign-On?
Minimize

Single Sign-On (SSO) enables a user to log in once and gain access to all participating systems without being prompted to log in again.

SSO for the St. Augustine Campus means that you need to only log in once at the http://my.uwi.edu portal to gain access to your email, student records, course information and library catalogs.

Your SSO username and password would be what you currently use to access your email, online courses at myeLearning or to gain access to the wireless network.

Important Do's and Don'ts

Do choose a strong password. For information on creating strong passwords click here http://www.microsoft.com/security/online-privacy/passwords-create.aspx

Do change your password at least once every semester or if you believe your account as been compromised.

Do sign out of your browser when using a public computer. Sign out means clicking on the 'Sign out' link at the top right hand corner of the my.uwi.edu portal. Closing your web browser does not sign you out!

Don't share your password with anyone! Remember your student wireless account password now grants access to all online systems.

Don't leave your desktop unattended.

Why didn't SSO work for some of my applications?

SSO may not work if you do not have Financial Clearance or if you are not registered for any courses for the particular semester. If you believe that you should have access where the system is not allowing you to, please contact your campus service desk.

Resetting my password?

Read the information on the Portal Help page for instructions by campus on how to reset your password.
